Hi all,
Thanks to all of you for posting your comments on the blog. We had a look at them tonight! We had a really nice welcome at Shinano Junior High School tonight. Our students were very nervous, but introduced themselves in Japanese perfectly.
Today we visited the Golden Pavillion in Kyoto. It was a beautiful day so the Pavillion shone in the sunshine.
Have a look through the photos and see for yourselves.
Bye for now,
Matt

Looking at your blog is the highlight of my morning! Matt, you are doing a tremendous job. Finn has decided he wants to go when he is at Balmoral. Something to aim for!
Wow the photos looks amazing. We are about to have a earthquake drill! Drop, cover and hold not that you in Japan have to worry about - just a first for New Zealand as a country to be practicing a drill all at the same time and yes I am typing under my desk!
Keep up the good times. Love seeing all the photos - need some comments back from the kids though - Riley send some hugs!
Sue xx
Really enjoying the photos guys. Where are the photos of you Deb? Luther, I hope you are wearing your glasses so you can see all these amazing sights properly. Good luck meeting your host families. I'm sure they will be warm and welcoming, just like us Kiwis. From Janine, Guy & Cassie. The cat is loving your bed Luther. xx

Sorry, short comment.
WOW sounds like a amazing time in Japan, we are having a great time with Jules in room 4, at the moment we are making old looking maps and for some reason, when we played touch their was no much cheating (still some cheating by a person with a letter that starts with T(think you can guess who it is))
Above all we are having a lot of fun and can't wait for you to get back!
Message for Emily....
You were lucky with the draw for netball this week. - lucky you weren't there that is. We lost 47-6. Ouch!!
I hope you are enjoying being at school and making new friends. I look forward to hearing all about it.
Love Mum. XX

Hi everyone
We are having a fantastic time! The kids are having a ball and really loving the experience. Day 2 at school today, the students are starting with classes in cooking and music followed by a pottery class this afternoon.
The money is really lasting and they have been good at what they are buying (you are all getting some lovely little gifts).
Tomorrow we are going to visit Seto Mayor and do some shopping in a Sakae (a shopping district).
The homestay mums are being like real mums, taking good care of your children.
Regards
Deb
